Our Surveying Instruments Division provided the Trimble R12i High Accuracy GNSS Receiver training course to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) for their staff at the Tha Tung Na Dam in Kanchanaburi Province.

The training focused on methods of operation aligned with the assigned tasks, data verification procedures for accuracy, and correct selection and configuration of coordinate systems before fieldwork. Company representatives guided staff members individually to ensure comprehensive understanding and application of the equipment in their duties. Furthermore, field testing was conducted with EGAT's permission, utilizing survey markers near the dam. Tests included both Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) and GNSS Network Internet-based methods for capturing vertical and tilt (IMU Tilt) data. Six R12i units were deployed simultaneously at a single location, with each unit tested three times. Discrepancies in results ranged from 0.8 to 1 centimeter, well within the device's capabilities.

Upon completion of the testing, staff members from both the company and EGAT collaborated for a group photo at the Tha Tung Na Dam site, leaving a lasting impression on both the department and the company.
